Clinical Insights is an independent full-time clinical trial
center dedicated to excellence in conducting psychopharmacological
clinical trials.
Clinical Insights has been in operation since 1996. We have
conducted phase II, III and IV clinical trials in a variety of
psychiatric areas including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety
disorders, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),
obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), psychosis, schizophrenia,
tardive dyskinesia, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, premenstrual
dysphoric disorder (PMDD), migraine, insomnia, and alcohol
dependence.
We have worked with the following sponsors: Abbott,
Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dupont Merck, Glaxo SmithKline, Hoechst
Marion Roussel, Janssen Pharmaceutica, Eli Lilly, Merck, National
Institutes of Mental Health, Organon, Otsuka, Parke-Davis, Pfizer,
Pharmacia & Upjohn, RW Johnson Pharmaceutical Research
Institute, SmithKline Beecham, Solvay, Somerset and Zeneca.
Our facility consists of three interconnected suites of offices
in a major medical office building. We have 12 consultation rooms,
a fully-equipped examination room with ECG, freezer, and emergency
kit. We are close to the Baltimore-Washington International
airport, and are easily accessible by auto and public
transportation.

Education and training are emphasized for the associates at
Clinical Insights. The clinical research coordinators and
subinvestigators are trained in a variety of assessments, as well
as research and clinical trial concepts. Each coordinator sits for
the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP)
certification examination to become a Certified Clinical Research
Coordinator (CCRC) as soon as they become eligible (after 2 years
of clinical trial experience). Our staff routinely attends training
and receives certification in a variety of assessments by study
sponsors.

The Glen Burnie population consists of 500,000 from working and
middle class communities. Additionally, we draw patients from the
Baltimore/Annapolis area, including Baltimore City. The area has
various facilities for aged patients.
To reach Clinical Insights from Interstate 97, take Exit 15
towards Glen Burnie. From 695 take exit 3B for Ritchie Highway
South. Empire Towers is on the right about 2 miles down the road.
You can also park in the underground parking lot beneath the
building free of charge by entering from the 6th Avenue
entrance.
