Fieve Clinical Services, Inc. (FCS) is a private clinical
research center located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. FCS
was established by Ronald R. Fieve, MD in 1983 and has earned a
reputation as one of the most experienced, reliable, and efficient
study centers in the United States for conducting research trials
of new CNS compounds in phase I-IV of their development.
FCS has worked with many of the major pharmaceutical companies,
both domestic and foreign, as well as with a number of well known
CROs. Although FCS has made its mark in pharmaceutical research by
specializing in psychiatric and neurologic disorders, it has
recently expanded into other therapeutic areas including
hypertension, pain management, headache and sleep disorders. FCS
handles all contractual negotiations and regulatory documents
(using a central IRB), unless the sponsor has contracted a CRO to
do so.
FCS has an aggressive marketing program for patient recruitment.
This includes radio, television, newspaper and magazine
advertising, participation in several referral services, as well as
drawing from Dr. Fieve’s large, internal patient database.
Additionally, Dr. Fieve is the founder of the Foundation for Mood
Disorders and his affiliation with Columbia Presbyterian Medical
Center helps precipitate hundreds of inquiries about our research
each year. Dr. Fieve has also written two best-selling books,
"Moodswing" and "Prozac",
which have drawn public attention to clinical trials in psychiatric
research.
