Allergy and Asthma Associates of Houston, P.A. has experienced
significant growth following it's establishment in 1972 by Dr.
Agile H. Redmon and Dr. Richard H. Barrick. It is the largest
Allergy and Asthma practice in the state of Texas.
Realizing the large number of patient contacts and excellent
facilities available to the practice, we made the decision to enter
pharmaceutical research in 1997.
We are currently involved in clinical trials and have met or
exceeded our enrollment goals and have a high retention rate for
study participants. We maintain the highest medical standards of
patient care and data integrity. The staff includes physicians who
are board certified in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and
Pulmonology in addition to Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
We are seeking additional clinical research trials involving
Phase II through Phase IV studies, both adult and pediatric. We

The central research facility in the Texas Medical Center and
the other research department locations are easily accessible. All
are in proximity to the interstate highway system and
interconnecting freeways and all have ample and free parking. Nine
physicians at 4 of our 11 locations are currently participating in
research. Spirometry, EKGs, x-rays and methacholine challenges are
available at all facilities and CT is available at three
locations.

Our practice encompasses the metro-Houston area and our patient
demographics mirror this area's diversity with Hispanics,
African-Americans and Asians comprising 40% of our practice. Our
pediatric patients comprise 20% of our database.
We evaluate and manage patients with asthma, allergic rhinitis,
allergic conjunctivitis, urticaria, angioedema, atopic dermatitis,
anaphylaxis, sinusitis and bronchitis.
All of our protocols are approved through central IRBs.
