Richmond Pharmacology is one of Europe's leading Early Phase Full-Service CROs. Our reputation has been gained through the conduct of over 250 Early Phase Studies over the past decade. Our wide ranging experience is complemented by our specialist focus on FTIH, TQT, Bridging Studies and Patient Studies.

Under the same senior management for the last decade, Richmond Pharmacology offers the continuity of a highly specialised medical team that has worked closely with its UK NHS partners to ensure a safe environment for our patients and volunteers whilst we remain at the forefront of early phase clinical research.

Company History

August 2001 - Richmond Pharmacology is co-founded by Dr Ulrike Lorch, Dr Jörg Täubel and
Dr Radivoj Arezina

September 2001 - Clinical trials unit established in Atkinson Morley's Hospital, Wimbledon

January 2002 - Dr Jörg Täubel joins Richmond Pharmacology as Managing Director

October 2002 - Second unit opened at Atkinson Morley Hospital expanding to 52 beds and over 50 staff

November 2003 - Plans revealed for expansion to include a unit at St George's University London to become the largest privately owned CRO in the UK

December 2003 - Doors open at the new 32 bed unit in St George's University Hospital

December 2004 - Introduction of a dedicated Japanese Recruitment team

May 2005 - Richmond Pharmacology becomes the UK's First CRO to be based in 2 Acute NHS Teaching Hospitals opening a second new facility at Mayday University Hospital in Croydon, London

August 2005 - Richmond Pharmacology celebrate 5 years of clinical trials

August 2006 - Richmond Pharmacology launches its new volunteer recruitment website www.trials4us.com

October 2007 - Richmond Pharmacology hosts pre-conference workshop for QT & Safety Pharmacology Strategy Congress 2007

October 2008 - Awarded MHRA Standard and Supplementary Accreditation for 2 hospital based Clinical Trial Centres.

April 2009 - Richmond Pharmacology is the FIRST and ONLY Clinical Research Organisation to become part of the UKCRC Experimental Medicines Resources Network

April 2010 - Richmond Pharmacology's volunteer database exceeds 100,000 records

November 2010 - Richmond Pharmacology announce partnership with ACRONET (Japan based CRO)

March 2011 - TQT Levofloxacin Study Uncovers New Results

August 2011 - Richmond Pharmacology celebrates 10 years of clinical excellence
