Company Overview

Medpace Reference Laboratories (MRL) has more than 76,000 square feet dedicated to laboratory operations and specimens at locations in Leuven, Belgium; Beijing, China; Mumbai, India; and Cincinnati US. All laboratories have state-of-the-art, high through-put instrumentation and long-term sample storage units. Preparation, packaging, and delivery of all supplies and materials necessary for specimen collection are managed within the laboratory. Providing the highest quality analytical support to Sponsors and investigational sites, the laboratory offers a comprehensive test menu for safety, efficacy, and endpoint testing. The laboratories use identical methodologies for most analyses and perform ongoing cross-validation of tests to ensure consistent results.

Laboratory Analysis

MRL is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and is compliant with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA-88). Both MRL laboratories are NHLBI-CDC Part III standardized for total cholesterol, triglycerides, and HDL cholesterol and NGSP Level I standardized for hemoglobin A1C. All Medical Technologists are certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and have extensive experience in central laboratory operations. With expertise in every aspect of laboratory testing, from sample collection and test performance to blinding and result reporting, laboratory personnel have the knowledge and understanding to accurately process and analyze samples and report study data.

With locations in Belgium, China, India, and the US, MRL offers global central laboratory services to North America, Canada, South and Central America, the Pacific Rim, South Africa and all of Europe including coordinated project management, correlated analytical methodologies, integrated data management, and reporting.
