DDOTS was founded in 1986 specifically for the development of software for the health care field. since then, our focus has been on the development, expansion, and refining of comprehensive software programs for the clinical trials industry.

Clinical Trials Software: Product Line

CREDIT© (Cancer Research Environmental Data Information Tracking)

CREDIT© is the most comprehensive software system available for the entire clinical trials administration and patient scheduling processes. Originally developed for National Cancer Institute-supported oncology research organizations, it is now applicable for all clinical arenas conducting patient-based clinical trials including hospitals, clinical research organizations, physician offices, and pharmaceutical companies.

There is no other clinical trials data management and patient scheduling software available that compares to the robust capabilities of CREDIT© Its importance cannot be underestimated in the management of the multiple day-to-day activities of research staff. It simplifies all aspects of clinical trials administrative tasks including tracking of patient schedules, record-keeping and reporting, notification of patients regarding changing protocol information, and management of all IRB review schedules and activities.

CREDIT© allows the user to:

  • Track all past, present, and potential future patients
  • Develop individualized schedules for each patient, automatically adjusting for treatment delays
  • Quickly and simply check-off completed protocol events for each patient
  • Easily add protocols and protocol arms to the database with multiple overlay segments for each arm
  • Flag common toxicity criteria notification levels, automatically generating memoranda to those organizations and individuals requiring such notice
  • Generate reports for every conceivable need
  • Manage all IRB review schedules and activities
  • Document Management: Upload, Download, Email Notification
  • Complete Financial Management: Receivables, Payables, Patient Billing Compliance, Time Tracking, etc.

CREDIT© is a stand-alone system with additional modules available for investigational drug inventory management for pharmacies (IDEA©) and comprehensive Institutional Review Board administration (IRBANA©).

IDEA© (Investigational Drug Environmental Accountability)

Investigational Drug Environmental Accountability (IDEA©) is a comprehensive Web-based program for all aspects of investigational drug inventory management and dispensing. It incorporates elements for inventory control and audit performance required by clinical trials sponsoring organizations, including the National Cancer Institute. Whereas most drug inventory systems only provide information as to inventory on hand, IDEA© allows clinical research sites "look ahead" capability in order to plan for future inventory needs and be able to meet those needs in a variety of ways. This extraordinary feature distinguishes IDEA© from any other drug inventory system on the market today.

IDEA© allows the user to:

  • Align the ordering of investigational agents with the patient and protocol
  • Implement and document all aspects of drug inventory management including receiving, dispensing, transferring and returning of agents
  • Automatically update, record and reconcile drug accountability records (DARs) via pharmacist activities
  • Establish and align treatment cycles with inventory management requirements
  • Receive notifications of expiring drugs and impending drug shortages
  • Web based system

IDEA© may be utilized as a stand-alone pharmacy system or incorporated as a module into CREDIT©, the clinical trials administration and patient scheduling software developed by DDOTS.

Its contents are solely the responsibility of DDOTS, Inc. In 2007, DDOTS Received the prestigious "2007 National Tibbetts Award" in recognition of outstanding contribution to the SBIR Program. This award was based on the Systems developed by DDOTS with the Grant Funding provided by SBIR and sponsored by the NCI.

IRBANA© (Institutional Review Board Activity Negotiation Accountability)

IRBANA© is an all-inclusive Web-based data management system for Institutional Review Boards (IRBs). Today's environment demands flawless accountability across the entire clinical trials process. The IRB's follow-up, oversight, and record-keeping requirements are burdensome at best. IRBANA© eliminates much of the work and streamlines the entire process, facilitating:

  • Automatic creation of continuing review reports for each study due at a specified IRB meeting date
  • Automatic generation of meeting agendas
  • Easy follow-up documentation of IRB actions and activities
  • Creation of all IRB meeting follow-up letters for principal investigators whose studies were reviewed
  • On-line consent forms
  • Tracking of adverse events logged for each protocol
  • Document Management: Upload, Download, Email Notification
  • Document Download User Capture for knowing who and when documents were downloaded
  • Web based system
  • IRBANA© may be utilized as a stand-alone IRB management system or incorporated as a module into CREDIT©, the clinical trials administration and patient scheduling software developed by DDOTS, Inc.

Technical Support

Telephone support is provided on a reasonable business week basis. 8 AM – 5 PM EST Monday – Friday. Webcast on-line training is also provided at no additional charge. On-site training is provided as part of the installation of any DDOTS systems. Additional on site training is also available.

Oncology Clinical Trials

CREDIT© is the premiere software for oncology research organizations supported by the National Cancer Institute. It incorporates a robust NCI reports module which generates all reports and tables required by the National Cancer Institute for annual reviews and grant applications as well as a multitude of generic reports. This feature ensures accuracy of data and saves considerable staff time. On average, the full NCI table sets require only 15 seconds to create.

CREDIT© includes a Library of over 3,000 oncology research base study schemas, as well as hundreds of other disciplines, which can be downloaded from the DDOTS web site. This service is included at no charge with the installation of CREDIT©

Web-Hosting for DDOTS Software Products

DDOTS, Inc. provides web hosting service for all of the above systems. Furthermore, the equipment utilized is state-of-the-art, with ongoing updates to ensure streamlined functionality. Backups are preformed nightly and maintained in double redundancy.

Product Demonstrations

If you are interested in viewing the clinical trials software products, contact technical support at DDOTS by phone (734-434-7734) or email (demo@ddots.com) to arrange for a web demonstration. At the agreed-upon time, a representative from DDOTS will call your selected station on the phone for the audio portion of the presentation. Staff can assemble around a computer or projection system to view the demonstration.

Advance planning is key to the demonstration. We strongly suggest that your staff make a list of the important elements to be included. You can forward a list of these elements or questions to DDOTS prior to the demonstration, and we will be sure to include them in our presentation.
