American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology is the largest professional medical organization in the United States devoted to the allergy/immunology specialty. The AAAAI represents, asthma specialists, clinical immunologists, allied health professionals and others with a special interest in the research and treatment of allergic disease. Established in 1943, the AAAAI has nearly 6,500 members in the United States, Canada and 60 other countries. The AAAAI is devoted to the advancement of the knowledge and practice of allergy, asthma and immunology for optimal patient care.

American Board of Allergy and Immunology

The ABAI was established in 1971 as a non-profit organization and is one of 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

The ABAI mission is to:

  • establish qualifications and examine physician candidates for certification and recertification as specialists in allergy/immunology
  • serve the public and the health care community by providing the names of physicians certified as allergists/immunologists
  • improve the quality of health care
  • establish and improve standards for the teaching and practice of allergy/immunology
  • establish standards for training programs in allergy/immunology working with the Residency Review Committee for Allergy and Immunology of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)

Clinical Immunology Society

The mission of the Clinical Immunology Society is to facilitate education, translational research and novel approaches to therapy in clinical immunology to promote excellence in the care of patients with immunologic/inflammatory disorders. CIS is an international professional organization which includes more than 750 clinicians, investigators and trainees. The CIS is governed by a Council consisting of an elected Executive Committee and appointed Councilors.

European Society of Reproductive and Developmental Immunology ESRADI

Aims to encourage development and promote research concerning immunological processes in reproductive and developmental physiology and morphology, pathology and therapeutics.

HIV InSite

Strives to advance the prevention and care of HIV infection and related illnesses worldwide through the development, organization, and dissemination of expert knowledge.

Infectious Diseases Society of America

Represents physicians, scientists and other health care professionals who specialize in infectious diseases.
