Immunocore, Genentech collaborate on cancer targets

Immunocore, an Oxford-based biotechnology company developing novel biological drugs known as ImmTACs to treat cancer and viral disease, has entered a research collaboration and licensing agreement with Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, for the discovery and development of multiple novel cancer targets using Immunocore's ImmTAC technology.

MorphoSys, Celgene to jointly develop cancer program

Global biopharma companies MorphoSys and Celgene have agreed to jointly develop MOR202 globally and co-promote it in Europe. MOR202 is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting CD38 to treat patients with multiple myeloma and certain leukemias. It currently is being evaluated in a phase I/IIa trial in patients with relapsed/refractory myeloma. The companies will collaborate on the development of MOR202 in multiple myeloma and other indications and share costs.

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) and AstraZeneca will collaborate to develop new AstraZeneca oncology compounds. The companies will work on molecular profiling to classify tissue based on genetic profiles for the purpose of treating cancers and predicting response to therapy.

Forte Research Systems, a developer of specialized clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and eClinical research solutions, and the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation have announced that Yale has deployed new interfaces between the OnCore eClinical research solution and the university's electronic medical record (EMR), Epic. The integration facilitates communication of clinical trial data from OnCore to the EMR to help streamline processes for research staff, and strengthen patient safety and billing compliance.
