Bayer, Broad Institute collaborate for cancer therapy

Bayer HealthCare is collaborating with the Broad Institute in Cambridge, Mass. for oncogenomics and drug discovery. The Broad Institute, a nonprofit biomedical research institutes, brings together scientists from Harvard, MIT and Harvard-affiliated hospitals, and has experience in genomics, cancer, chemical biology and drug discovery. They intend to jointly discover and develop therapeutic agents that selectively target cancer genome alterations over a period of five years.

Roche, Broad Institute to identify novel uses for failed phase II compounds

Roche, through its Translational and Clinical Research Center, and the Broad Institute, a biomedical and genomic research center based in Cambridge, Mass., have signed a multi-year collaboration designed to identify novel indications for promising development-stage compounds using the Broad Institute's platforms of screening technologies.

Covance collaborates with Broad Institute, expands drug metabolism services

Covance said that its Seattle-based genomics laboratory will collaborate with the Broad Institute to create genomic resources for an important research model. Covance’s Next-Generation sequencing capabilities will be used to profile microRNA expression in various tissue samples from this model.
