Invacare completes sale of medical supplies business to AssuraMed

Invacare, an Elyria, Ohio-based manufacturer and distributor of home and long-term care medical products, has completed the sale of its Invacare Supply Group (ISG) medical supplies business to AssuraMed, a medical supply distributor based in Twinsburg, Ohio, for a purchase price of approximately $150.8 million in cash.

Patheon to acquire Banner Pharmacaps

Patheon, a Durham, N.C.-based provider of contract development and manufacturing services, has signed a definitive agreement with Vion, a global manufacturer of foodstuffs and ingredients based in the Netherlands, to acquire Banner Pharmacaps, a High Point, N.C.-based specialty pharmaceutical business dedicated to the research, development and manufacturing of unique gelatin-based dosage forms.
