Human Longevity (HLI), the genomics-based, technology-driven company, has announced that Sally Howard, J.D., has been hired as head of regulatory affairs and policy. Howard, who has more than two decades of health policy and regulatory expertise, will lead all efforts related to federal and state regulatory oversight for HLI.
Merck, a Germany-based science and technology company, has been named one of the top 20 employers in the biopharmaceutical industry by Science magazine, a peer-reviewed international scientific publication. Merck ranked 17th among biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies worldwide. This is the second year in a row that Merck has been named to the top employer list, improving from its position of number 20 in 2014.
ICON, a global provider of drug development solutions and services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries, has announced two new leadership appointments to its Asia Pacific operations. Mary Pan has been appointed vice president, Asia Pacific, where she will lead ICON’s continued growth and expansion in the region. Hiroshi Ichikawa has been appointed vice president and general manager of ICON’s operations in Japan.
