Wolters Kluwer Health, a global provider of information and point-of-care solutions for the healthcare industry, has launched two specialized mobile applications of Lippincott’s Nursing Drug Handbook, a drug reference for nurses. Designed for use with iPad and iPhone, these apps are the industry’s first electronic references for nurses to focus on drugs used in oncology and psychiatry. Both are subsets of the Nursing Drug Handbook app, which provides access to current drug information for nurses.

The service is a new product and the company's first offering for the clinical laboratory market. CollabRx will provide GVA to the molecular diagnostic segment of the clinical laboratory market, which includes reference laboratories, hospital laboratories, research institutions and laboratories within academic medical centers.

Japan-based pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo is expanding its use of Medidata Solutions' cloud-based platform to support clinical trials conducted by its division in China, an investment expected to streamline trial activities, improve the efficiency of data capture and increase the productivity of site users and clinical monitors. Daiichi Sankyo will bring Medidata's applications for electronic data capture, clinical data management and randomization and trial supply management to its expanding clinical work in China.
