Loxo Oncology, a biopharmaceutical company established and funded by Aisling Capital, and Array BioPharma have announced a multi-year license and collaboration agreement for an Array-invented preclinical development candidate and related intellectual property. In addition, Loxo and Array will collaborate to discover and develop small molecule drugs for mutually agreed upon novel oncology targets.

AstraZeneca inks cancer collaboration

AstraZeneca has entered into an agreement with the University of Cambridge and Cancer Research U.K. for a two-year collaboration on three preclinical and clinical oncology projects. This agreement aims to advance cancer research through the study of tumor mutations and new investigational therapies in prostate, pancreatic and potentially other cancers.

Immunocore, GlaxoSmithKline sign research and licensing agreement

Immunocore, an Oxford-based biotechnology company developing novel biological drugs called ImmTACs to treat cancer and viral disease, has entered into a partnership with GlaxoSmithKline for multiple novel targets not addressable using antibody-based technologies. This is Immunocore's second major partnership this year.

Novartis, Biological E partner to deliver affordable vaccines to developing world

Novartis has entered into a development and licensing agreement with Biological E (BioE), a biopharmaceutical company based in India, for two vaccines to protect against typhoid and paratyphoid fevers. The agreement advances the Novartis goal to deliver accessible and affordable vaccines that address unmet medical need in endemic regions.
