Parexel enhances ClinPhone RTSM service

Global CRO Parexel International has launched enhancements to its Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) service, ClinPhone RTSM. Parexel designed the enhanced service to simplify patient randomization and clinical supply management and to offer greater speed and flexibility in tailoring the service to meet the needs of clinical trials, while reducing delivery timelines. For the improvements, Parexel integrated the interactive response technology acquired from ClinIntel in October 2014 with Parexel’s experience in delivering RTSM services to thousands of studies to create an enhanced fourth-generation technology platform.

ORIG3N, LabCorp collaborate

ORIG3N, a Boston-based biotechnology company, is collaborating with Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp), a healthcare diagnostics company. LabCorp has invested in ORIG3N and will provide storage for LifeCapsule, ORIG3N’s induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) storage, at its biorepository facilities as well as perform genetic testing on the stored cells. LabCorp's experience will help to accelerate the development of LifeCapsule's specimen repository.

Global CRO WuXi PharmaTech has announced that, in response to a preliminary non-binding proposal letter, dated April 29, received by the company's board of directors from Dr. Ge Li, founder, chairman and CEO of the company, and Ally Bridge Group Capital Partners to acquire the company in a "going private" transaction, the board has formed a special committee of independent directors consisting of Xuesong (Jeff) Leng, William R. Keller and Walter T. Kwauk to evaluate the proposed transaction.
