Clinilabs Partners with Renal Research Institute

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 07:12 AM

New York-based contract research organization (CRO) Clinilabs recently announced a collaboration with the Renal Research Institute (also headquartered in New York) to conduct studies in patients with renal impairment.

The Renal Research Institute is dedicated to advancing treatment options for dialysis patients. The collaboration also includes Spectra Clinical Research, a division of Spectra Laboratories, which provides renal-specific laboratory services for clinical trials.

“These alliances will enable us to complete studies in patients with renal impairment at our 48-bed phase 1 unit in New York—studies that are essential to early phase drug development.  Our ability to bring three top organizations together in collaboration represents an important new offering for industry-sponsored research,” said Dr. Gary K. Zammit, president and CEO of Clinilabs, in a statement.
