CenterWatch, a global source for clinical trials information, will present results from four surveys aimed at examining the quality of relationships between sponsors and investigative sites from around the world at ExL Pharma’s 4th Investigator Relationship Management conference to be held Feb. 23-24, 2009, in Baltimore, Md.

CenterWatch’s Director of Market Research, Mary Jo Lamberti, Ph.D., will provide analysis of the survey results from nearly 2,000 investigative sites from the U.S., Canada and Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific, and highlight the attributes investigators rate as most essential in developing an effective sponsor-site relationship.

“I will be presenting real-time data that sponsors can use to work more efficiently and effectively with their sites,” Lamberti said. “These are useful findings and solutions that can be immediately implemented into the clinical trial process.”

Lamberti will also compare the different regions surveyed and discuss the areas experiencing the most patient enrollment delays, including new insight into the many factors that impact enrollment, such as demanding and complex protocols, the lack of compensation from sponsors, and the lack of drug-naïve subjects. 

Lamberti is the editor of the CenterWatch sourcebook, State of the Clinical Trials Industry and has extensive experience conducting research and evaluation in both academia and in the clinical trials industry. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has published articles in several trade magazines including, Applied Clinical Trials, Good Clinical Practice Journal, and New Directions for Program Evaluation. She holds a B.A. from Wellesley College and a Ph.D. from Boston University.
