Tom Shepherd named CEO of Bioaster

Dr. Tom Shepherd has been appointed chief executive officer of Bioaster, a Technology Research Institute focused on infectious diseases and microbiology

Shepherd succeeds Jacques Berger who, following his retirement from his previous position as directeur général délégué of Sanofi Pasteur, had been asked to set up Bioaster’s corporate and laboratory operations and establish the foundations for its future growth into a leading research institute.

He has held chief executive officer positions with CXR Biosciences, Vascular Flow Technologies and Neurotech, as well as head of business development at Kymab, Intrabiotics Pharmaceuticals and ICN (Valeant) Pharmaceuticals.
