Biotech Investment Group launches Formex

Biotech Investment Group (BiG) has completed the purchase of PharmaForm and has launched Formex, a small molecule formulation company for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

San Diego-based Formex is a provider of contract pharmaceutical formulation and clinical manufacturing services, focusing on hot melt extrusion, spray dried dispersions and drug layering, as well as pharmaceutical formulation development and cGMP manufacturing of small molecule, solid dose products. The facility has over 40,000 square feet dedicated to R&D, analytical labs and cGMP ICH stability storage.
