ePharmaSolutions, a clinical services and eClinical solutions provider, won the Best of Show category for clinical trials at the 2013 Bio-IT World Conference and Expo. Selected as a finalist by a panel of expert, industry judges, two teams of onsite judges viewed the finalist products and demonstrations on Wednesday at the event.

PatientLive, an application designed for Microsoft Windows 8, provides a comprehensive overview of approved medications and new medical therapies for a wide range of medical conditions. The application also provides registrants with personalized updates and alerts when new medical therapies and clinical trial opportunities become available in their geographic and therapeutic area of interest with confidential self-screening tools to determine if they might qualify for those trials. Furthmore, registrants will gain access to CenterWatch's robust library of clinical trial content and access to the Microsoft HealthVault personal health record solution.

"The opportunity to share information about potential new treatments being evaluated in clinical trials is paramount to the success of these trials and to the health of those suffering from disease," said Lance Converse, founder and CEO of ePharmaSolutions. "We are very proud to have won this award and to be at the forefront of this key healthcare initiative."

PatientLive includes a proprietary screening technology named ReferralPlus that uses a geo-therapeutic matching algorithm to link registrants to trials for which they might qualify. More than 20 major pharmaceutical companies and CROs have agreed to participate in a pilot of this program where they will be "sharing" their studies with potential clinical trial participants. PatientLive will play a key role in finding and engaging patients with the best fitting clinical trials for their conditions.
