Quintiles, a provider of biopharmaceutical development and commercial outsourcing services, has received further recognition for the company’s digital communications with two “Internet Advertising Competition” (IAC) awards: one for its corporate website, Quintiles.com, and one for its patient education site, ClinicalResearch.com.

The IAC awards provide companies with an opportunity to highlight their best online advertising in 96 industries and nine online formats. The competition is produced by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in online advertising, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible and showcase the best in award-winning Internet advertising.

Quintiles.com, the company’s corporate site, won in the category of “Outstanding Website.”  The site was recently re-designed to provide an enhanced user experience for the varied audiences which visit the site, ranging from customers and potential customers to employees and job seekers. The updated design, along with new functionality to personalize the user experience, enables visitors to search, store and share information and thought-leading solutions quickly and easily.

ClinicalResearch.com, one of the patient communities created by Quintiles’ Digital Patient Unit, was named “Best Information Services Website.” It serves as an information resource for patients and their families with a mission of increasing awareness, understanding and participation in clinical research. With more than 250,000 registered users, the site includes a comprehensive database of ongoing clinical trials, searchable by both condition and geography, helping users locate clinical trials which may benefit them or a family member.

“We’re very proud to have both of these web properties recognized by the Web Marketing Association,” said Jodi Snare, vice president of digital strategy, Quintiles. “Both Quintiles.com and ClinicalResearch.com are crucialin our efforts to serve customers, investigators, employees and patients.”
