Friday, March 8, 2013 10:30 AM

Audubon, Pa.-based CFS Clinical, a specialty provider of business and financial management activities for clinical trials, has launched its upgraded technology platform and new tax consulting services.

The enhanced InSite technology platform offers increased transparency for clinical trial operations, with advanced reporting capabilities offering further visibility into investigator grant payments and study startup—including grant spend forecasting and modeling, Sunshine and global transparency compliance and enterprise site profiling.

“By adapting our solutions to the changing needs of sponsors, CROs and sites, CFS continues to lead the way in transforming the business of clinical trials,” said Kevin Williams, MBA/MS, vice president of corporate development and marketing for CFS Clinical.

CFS also has launched its Tax Consulting Service to help clients sort out the vast complexities of paying investigators globally.

“VAT rates range from 10 to 29%, and those rates are applied to millions of dollars of global grant payments,” said April Mulroney, CPA, CA, vice president of global tax, treasury and client services, based in CFS’ U.K. office. “CFS experts formalized this unique service to help our clients minimize financial risk and manage tax exposure on the largest line item in their clinical trial budget—the grant payments.”
