DIA, a neutral, global, professional and member-driven association of nearly 18,000 professionals, has appointed Jytte Lyngvig as director for DIA Europe.

Lyngvig most recently served CEO of the Danish Medicines Agency. In addition, she served as vice chairwoman of the EMA management board and as chairwoman of the management group, heads of medicines agencies, for six years.

Lyngvig has many years' experience of working with DIA both as an adviser and, more recently, as co-chairwoman of DIA Europe's Annual EuroMeeting, held in Copenhagen earlier this year. She has also participated as a senior adviser on individual assignments at the Copenhagen Business School. She served in director or consultant positions with Greater Copenhagen Transportation, Mercuri Urval, the city of Copenhagen, Ministry of the Environment and the Technical University of Denmark.

Lyngvig is expected to take up her new position on Jan. 10, 2013.
