Omeros appoints Mitro as vice president, sales and marketing

Omeros, a Seattle, Wash.-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on products targeting inflammation, coagulopathies and disorders of the central nervous system, has appointed Thomas A. Mitro as vice president of sales and marketing.

Mitro has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning sales and marketing as well as business development. Prior to joining Omeros, he served from 2002 until 2012 as vice president of sales and marketing at ISTA Pharmaceuticals, where he oversaw the building of ISTA's commercial infrastructure and launch of five eye care products. Before ISTA, Mitro served for over 20 years in various positions with Allergan, including vice president of skin care; vice president of business development; and vice president of e-business.
