Ampio Pharmaceuticals names Disbrow as COO

Ampio Pharmaceuticals, a Greenwood Village, Colo.-based biopharmaceutical company developing repurposed drugs and new molecular entities (NMEs) that treat inflammatory diseases, has appointed Josh Disbrow as chief operating officer.

Disbrow has 17 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device industries and has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, sales management, commercial operations and commercial strategy. He began his career at Glaxo Welcome (now GlaxoSmithKline) where he held positions of increasing responsibility within sales and marketing divisions. Most recently he served as vice president of commercial operations at Arbor Pharmaceuticals. Before joining Arbor, Disbrow was in sales management with Cyberonics, a medical device company. Prior to joining Cyberonics, he served as director of marketing at LipoScience, a specialty diagnostics company and oversaw commercialization of the company's lead product.
