Wednesday, October 17, 2012 03:57 PM

IDBS, a provider of innovative data and process management, analytics and modelling software, announced that Danone Research, Center for Specialized Nutrition—a life sciences innovation unit for the development of new product concepts for baby nutrition and medical nutrition—has implemented IDBS’ E-WorkBook.

The deployment delivers a collaborative data and process management platform across Danone’s global research centers, which will consolidate R&D groups. With E-WorkBook, Danone will benefit from improved data accessibility, knowledge sharing and reuse of data across units.

“We selected the IDBS solution, because they have experience working in complex knowledge-based environments,” said Hanno Cappon, vice president, Nutricia advanced medical nutrition R&D, Danone Research. “Additionally, we appreciate the flexibility of E-WorkBook and its compatibility with our existing systems. We are looking forward to integrating the new tool into our R&D activities once deployment is complete.”

Using E-WorkBook, Danone’s scientists can share data more easily, collaborate across research areas and store structured and unstructured data. The scalable and secure informatics platform is proven to support organizations to become even more efficient and productive. It can help scientists save a significant number of hours a week by enabling users to find data faster, as well as completing projects and reporting quicker. Tasks can take up to 40% less time.

Neil Kipling, CEO and founder of IDBS, said, “E-WorkBook is a fundamental building block for effective multidisciplinary R&D. Its collaborative capabilities ensure it is well placed to support Danone Research in its visionary quest to bring together R&D teams.”
