PTC Therapeutics appoints Zeldis to board of directors

PTC Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company based in South Plainfield, N.J., has appointed Jerome B. Zeldis, M.D., Ph.D., to the company's board of directors.

Zeldis also currently serves as the CEO of Celgene Global Health and the CMO of Celgene. He has been with Celgene for 25 years, previously serving as senior vice president of clinical research and medical affairs. Prior to Celgene, Zeldis worked at Sandoz Research Institute and Janssen Research Institute in both clinical research and medical development.

He is currently on the board of the Semorex, the New Jersey chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and the Castleman's Disease Organization. Zeldis has published 121 peer reviewed articles and 24 reviews, book chapters and editorials.
