Accovion GmbH, a full-service provider of clinical development services based in Eschborn, Germany, has launched an additional subsidiary in Spain.

The subsidiary’s main office in Madrid has opened and is complemented by a regional presence in Barcelona. Together with Poland, Russia, Romania, Czech Republic and U.K., Accovion is now able to present itself with six subsidiaries in total, which further emphasizes the international growth of the company. With its expansion, Accovion aims to offer its clients a broader spectrum of country-specific clinical research expertise providing the quality services that Accovion is known for.

With the expansion, Verónica de Lázaro Vettorello was appointed country director of Spain at Accovian, taking over the business activities in the country.

"Spain represents a key strategic territory for Accovion. When it comes to conducting clinical trials in Europe, Spain is among the top five within Europe,” explained Lázaro Vettorello. "Another important aspect is that the majority of our clients conduct clinical trials in Spain. The country has a very well-established clinical research scenery, excellently educated clinical research professionals (e.g. Spanish association of CROs) and well-known medical hospital quality.”

She added, “Together we will pursue Accovion’s successful development and will further increase our international market share of high value clinical development services.”
