Worldwide Clinical Trials receives strong CRO ratings from ISR

Worldwide Clinical Trials (WCT), a global, full-service CRO, has received strong ratings and recommendations from Industry Standard Research (ISR), who recently published “2012 CRO Quality Benchmarking Report.”

The comprehensive report quantitatively assessed CROs for delivery strengths and weaknesses, as well as sponsors' selection drivers, outsourcing volume and provider preferences. The report provides performance scorecards on 25 CROs, based on the interviews of 125 industry professionals, spanning 72 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. CROs were assessed across 21 service characteristics determined to be influential in provider selection, loyalty and operational performance.

In the report, WCT’s performance included “Better Than Most” or “Clear Leadership” ratings in attributes significant to driving operational excellence; project manager quality, team chemistry, timely communication, delivery of clean data and meeting first patient in timeline. WCT was also ranked in the top two positions for "Service Provider Loyalty," "Overall Satisfaction with Service Providers," "Willingness to Recommend Service Providers" and "Likelihood to Use Service Providers Again."

Of all the CROs measured in the report, WCT was one of only two demonstrating no weakness across the 21 attributes analyzed. Furthermore, ISR recommended that WCT be shortlisted for companies that require Operational Independence, Low Cost/Value and Global Footprint as mandates in their CRO selection criteria.

“We are very proud of WCT’s performance in this major market research study. We pride ourselves on our operational intelligence and clearly, as the report underscores, our clients are recognizing WCT for the very attributes needed to develop and run clinical trials successfully,” said Angelico Carta, M.D., president of WCT. “The data around Service Provider Loyalty is remarkable. WCT has long been known for being loyal to our clients and it is fulfilling to learn that our clients are equally loyal and supportive of WCT.  Knowing that a client will continue to use WCT, is satisfied and would recommend us, speaks to what we value most; and what we value most is client satisfaction.”
