Quintiles expands with lab in South Africa

Quintiles has opened a new, expanded central lab in Centurion, South Africa, further adding to its world-leading network of fully harmonized, College of American Pathologists (CAP)-accredited central labs.

Quintiles’ new 7,500-square-foot lab offers expanded testing capabilities – covering tuberculosis, microbiology services, HIV, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry – to address a wider range of studies across multiple therapeutic areas throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

“This facility has the latest technology and equipment which, combined with our rigorous CAP-accredited standards and practices, will speed the delivery of clean, reliable and comparable data to customers and investigators,” said Graham Murray, head of Quintiles global laboratories in Europe, Middle East and Africa. “It further enhances our ability to help customers accelerate clinical development in multiple geographies and disease areas.”
