Friday, April 17, 2009 08:00 AM

CenterWatch, a global source for clinical trials information, announced today the planned release of its fifth edition of the annual sourcebook, State of the Clinical Trials Industry, due out in late May.

With more than 645 charts and graphs, including 400 that are new or updated, State of the Clinical Trials Industry offers a detailed examination of the global clinical trials industry and provides proprietary charts and graphs from CenterWatch’s clinical research benchmarking surveys.

This year’s edition, the most comprehensive to date, reviews the challenges sponsors and CROs faced in 2008, the strong growth in the outsourcing sector, and the latest results from CenterWatch’s annual patient and physician surveys focused on volunteer experiences and physician referrals to clinical trials.

“Each year researchers, biotech and pharmaceutical executives, CRO executives, and investment analysts anticipate the release of the new edition,” said Mary Jo Lamberti, Ph.D., CenterWatch’s director of market research and editor of the book. “It is an invaluable resource for those seeking competitive intelligence and data analysis which provides insight into global industry trends.”
