Tuesday, March 1, 2011 11:47 AM

Durham, N.C.-based Health Decisions, a CRO in adaptive clinical trials, has received Safe Harbor Certification, effective Feb. 15, 2011.

The Safe Harbor designation means Health Decisions meets or exceeds directives of the European Union for data privacy and protection. The Safe Harbor framework was created by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Europe Commission's Directive on Data Protection to bridge differences in countries' privacy approaches and provide a streamlined means for U.S. organizations to comply with data protection laws.
