ERT names Eric Schwartz chief legal officer

eResearchTechnology, a provider of clinical services and medical devices to biopharmaceutical and healthcare organizations, has named Eric Ian Schwartz executive vice president and chief legal officer.

Schwartz joins ERT with 15 years of legal and executive management experience in the healthcare and technology industries.  Most recently, Schwartz was assistant general counsel at Johnson & Johnson within the medical device and consumer products businesses.  Previously, he was vice president and general counsel of Animas, a public medical device company.  He also held positions with Cable & Wireless Internet Services and its predecessor, Digital Island.
