Founded in 2003, The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) is a first-of-its-kind nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and informing the public, patients, medical/research communities, the media, and policy makers about clinical research participation and the role that each party plays as a participant in the process. CISCRP’s staff and board of advisors have highly diverse backgrounds - from the clinical research, healthcare and advocacy communities. CISCRP’s funding comes from a wide variety of sources including individual donors, government and research institutions, foundations and corporations.
Dystonia Medical Research Foundation
Founded in 1976, the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to serving all people with dystonia and their families. Since its inception, the DMRF has grown from a small family-based foundation into a dynamic membership-driven organization led by a Board of Directors and network of volunteers with personal connections to dystonia. Because dystonia hits so close to home for our directors and volunteers, the DMRF leadership is motivated by an unrelenting drive to find a cure and an unwavering commitment to serving people affected by dystonia.
Foundation for Spinal Cord Injury Prevention, Care & Cure (FSCIPCC)
The Foundation for Spinal Cord Injury Prevention, Care & Cure (FSCIPCC) is a non-profit educational group dedicated to the prevention, care and cure of spinal cord injuries through public awareness, education and funding research. Founded by its current Chairman Ronald R. Gilbert, FSCIPCC is committed to improving the quality of care for persons with serious spinal cord injuries and to raising funds that support the search for a cure. FSCIPCC is comprised of victims of spinal cord injuries and their families, persons dedicated to the prevention, care and cure of SCI and professionals who provide free counsel to SCI victims. FSCIPCC serves as an informational exchange and a forum for people who suffer from this infliction. Victims and families of victims are encouraged to talk with one another, to share support and encouragement. The FSCIPCC provides SCI victims with information about: the facts of spinal cord injuries; prevention of SCI injuries; care of SCI victims; onging SCI research for a cure; financing and managing disability-related expenses; liability, compensation and your rights; legal options available; and accessing professionals and organizations that will provide free help and counsel.
