The American-Italian Cancer Foundation's mission is to access the unique human and financial resources of the United States and Italy to address unmet needs in the war on cancer. To accomplish this mission, it uses resources from both countries to undertake and communicate path-breaking research and conferences, funds fellowships, develops model service programs and provides recognition to those who make this mission possible.

The American Melanoma Foundation (AMF) was founded to address the need for new treatment options in melanoma, one of the most serious of all cancers. The AMF provides support for basic research for new treatments in melanoma and contributes to the general community with education and awareness programs. The AMF also contributes to the patient community through patient support groups, a critical need for patients with this disease and the unique issues they are facing.

The Angel Care--Breast Cancer Foundation, a non profit, provides free emotional care to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. Trained volunteers, all survivors, serve as role models, providing hope and encouragement.

We focus on providing one-on-one emotional care. Volunteers are available to accompany patients to treatments, share information about coping, the power of prayers, and how a positive attitude can help to survive. We are committed to at least six contacts with each referral.

Presently, volunteers cover the greater Puget Sound area of Washington.

The Annie Appleseed Project is an all-volunteer patient advocacy 501 (C)3 providing information and education to people with cancer, family and friends especially about complementary, alternative (CAM), natural and integrative therapies, and more, from the patient perspective. We hold a national meeting on Evidence-based CAM for Cancer and advocate for more research done in a meaningful way. We support a person's right to make more informed decisions.

Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) is a non-profit educational organization committed to empowering all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. Malecare is a nonprofit grassroots network of cancer patients and clinicians. The National Lung Cancer Partnership (formerly Women Against Lung Cancer) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, originally formed in 2001, and officially incorporated in 2003. SHADE Foundation of America is working to create sun-safety attitudes in society, especially in our youth. Developing responsible sun attitudes at an early age can eliminate the alarming statistics that continue to increase. Skin Cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US with more than 1 million new cases diagnosed each year. Approximately 92,000 will be melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer.

SHADE Foundation is where melanoma patients, survivors and their families can find information and support. Parents and teachers can find programs to educate their children. Corporations and individuals can learn how they can provide sun-safety to children.

A patient-directed, self-help organization dedicated to meeting the needs of oral and head and neck cancer patients. The mission of the Sarcoma Foundation of America is to act as an advocate for increased research to find new and better therapies with which to treat patients with sarcoma. The SFA raises its own funds to provide research grants to sarcoma researchers. The SFA also interacts with public (NCI, FDA, etc.), private for-profit (pharmaceutical companies, etc.) and private non-profit (e.g., philanthropic foundations) organizations to raise awareness of the treatment needs of sarcoma patients.
