General Information

Interstim Continence Control Therapy has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This is the first implantable treatment ever to use electrical stimulation of the sacral nerves to manage urinary urge incontinence. Depending on the patient, Interstim Continence Control Therapy can be used instead of, or in conjunction with, more conservative therapies, such as physical therapy, drug therapy and biofeedback.
