REPRONEX, the generic equivalent of Pergonal, has been approved
for the treatment of infertility. REPRONEX is a human menopausal
gonadotropin (hMG), administered by intramuscular injection.
Ferring has received FDA clearance to market REPRONEX for
sequential use with human chorionic gonadotripin (hCG) in induction
of ovulation and pregnancy in anovulatory infertile patients, and
for stimulating the development of multiple follicles in ovulatory
patients participating in an in vitro fertilization (IVF)
program.
REPRONEX is also indicated for concomitant use with hCG for the
stimulation of spermatogenesis in men who have primary or secondary
hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
