Lodine has been approved for the treatment of rheumatoid
arthritis. Lodine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug
(NSAID).
At the same time the FDA has cleared for market a new 500 mg
dosage strength.
The safety and efficacy of Lodine in relieving the signs and
symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis were established in a three-year,
double-blind, multicenter clinical trial involving 1,446 subjects
with active rheumatoid arthritis. Data from the study indicated
that doses of Lodine at 1,000 mg/day were efficacious and well
tolerated in subjects being treated for active rheumatoid
arthritis.
