Trial Information

A research study of an investigational medication for Primary Insomnia.

This is a research study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for Primary Insomnia. This study will last for a little more than one year and will consist of 14 visits to the office.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • You must be over 18 years of age.
  • Women must be non-pregnant, non-nursing, and using an acceptable form of birth control.

You must have insomnia.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Women must not be currently pregnant or plan to become pregnant within the next year.
  • You must not be currently using any illegal substances.
  • You must not be working rotating or night shifts.
  • You must not have a history of any sleep disorders such as restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, breathing - related sleep disorder, hypersomnia or other chronic medical condition that affects sleep.
  • You must not have a history of any psychiatric disorders.
  • You must not have been diagnosed with epilepsy or seizures.
  • You must not have been tested positive for Hepatitis B or C.
