Acquisition of Human Gynecologic Specimens and Serum to be used in Studying the Causes, Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment of Cancer
This research study is for women who are scheduled to have
surgery on a gynecologic tumor. The purpose of this study is to
collect samples of gynecologic (ovary, cervix, uterus) tumor tissue
and blood for a tissue bank in order to aid researchers in their
studies to understand the causes and treatment of gynecologic
cancer. For this study, no additional surgery will be performed to
obtain these samples. At the time of your scheduled surgery to
diagnose and/or treat your cancer, the doctors would like to take a
small piece of your tumor tissue that would not be needed for
diagnosis and save it for future research studies.
No Compensation Provided
