Trial Information

Randomized trial of Zocor (simvastatin) in patients with Pulmonary Hypertension

This study lasts 3 months and all patients receive study medication (Zocor or placebo) and study-related testing free of charge.

Patient Inclusion/Exclusion:

  • Patients must be on Flolan (intravenous epoprostenol) or Remodulin (subcutenous eprostenol), and may be on Tracleer (bosentan).
  • Pulmonary hypertension may be:
    • primary (no known association)
    • associated with connective tissue disease or congenital heart disease.
