Dental: Arthritis Patients Needed for Saliva Study
The faculty and staff of the University of Kentucky College of
Dentistry and College of Medicine are conducting a clinical
research study to evaluate the usefulness of saliva as a diagnostic
fluid.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- are at least 18 years of age;
- have one of the following conditions:
- rheumatoid or psoriatic arthritis,
- scleroderma, or Sjögren’s syndrome, or
- are willing to contribute two teaspoons of saliva and two
teaspoons of venous blood.
Qualified participants enrolled in the study will be compensated
for their time and will receive a complete oral exam and dental
check-up at no cost.
