Do you suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

Wetlin Research in San Diego, CA, is conducting a clinical research study of an investigational drug for women who suffer from severe diarrhea-predominant symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Women interested in participating in this study must be at least 18 years old, have suffered from IBS for at least 6 months, and have failed conventional therapy for IBS.

Volunteers meeting the criteria will be asked to undergo a two-week screening phase, twelve weeks of treatment with the investigational drug or placebo, and a four-week follow-up period. Participants will also be asked to use an automated phone reporting system throughout the nineteen-week study duration.

All office visits, medical evaluations, and study medications related to this study will be provided to patients at no cost.
