Looking To Lower Your Risk for Heart Disease?
Dr. Gerald Reaven and his associates at Stanford University
Medical Center are seeking volunteers for a study on elevated
triglycerides and heart disease. Healthy volunteers between the
ages of 35 and 60 years old and non-diabetic who have elevated
triglycerides levels and/or a family history of diabetes or heart
disease, may qualify. This study will take place over a 4-month
period at Stanford University Medical Center.
Participants will receive a free medical examination, a
cholesterol panel, and a test to determine personal risk for
diabetes and heart disease. Those that qualify will have the
opportunity to take a medication that may reduce their risk for
heart disease.
