Rheumatic Fever Genetic Studies
For the past 30 years, the laboratory of Clinical
Microbiology/Immunology at The Rockefeller University has been
studying Rheumatic Fever.
For over one hundred years, the question of whether this disease
has a genetic basis remains unresolved. In order to examine this
question, we would like to contact the following:
- Families where more than one person has had Rheumatic
Fever
- Families where several people in more than one generation have
had Rheumatic Fever.
- Twins who both have had Rheumatic Fever
- Twins where only one twin has had Rheumatic Fever
