Trial Information

Chronic Bronchitis Trial for Patients with at least 2 Breathing Exacerbations in the Past Year

The purpose of this study to evaluate the effect of Roflumilast 500 mg on exacerbation rate in patients with COPD treated with a Long-Acting Beta Agonist and Inhaled Corticosteroid (LABA/ICS).

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 40+
  • Diagnosis of COPD for at least 12 months
  • Currently taking Advair 250/50 or Symbicort 160/4.5 for at least 3 months
  • 2 documented breathing exacerbations within the past 12 months

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Daily oxygen use of over 15 hours
  • Breathing exacerbation in the past 4 weeks
  • Heart attack in the past 6 months
  • Any other major cardiac problems
