Trial Information

Over 18, with ulcerative proctitis or ulcerative proctosigmoiditis?

This study is investigating the efficacy of a rectally administered foam compared with placebo.

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • Must have confirmed diagnosis of active ulcerative proctitis or ulcerative proctosigmoiditis, with disease extending 5 cm to 40 cm from the anal verge on endoscopy
  • Must be experiencing rectal bleeding

Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • Must not have a history or diagnosis of Crohn’s disease or indeterminate colitis
  • Must not have had prior gastrointestinal surgery except appendectomy and hernia. Prior cholecystectomy is acceptable if greater than 1 year before screening

There are other study requirements that will determine whether individuals may participate in this clinical research study.
