Trial Information

Chronic Low Back Pain

Males and Females 18 to 85 years old with Uncontrolled Moderate to Severe Chronic Low Back Pain and a History of Opioid Induced Constipation

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Lower Back Pain diagnosis on the last 3 months prior to screening History of opioid induced constipation defined as less than 3 spontaneous bowel movements per week.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients with a history of alcohol, medication or illicit drug abuse or addiction and/or history of opioid abuse or addition at any time Diagnosis of diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, Crohn disease Evidence of impaired liver or kidney function Not receiving opioid analgesic medication for at least 4 weeks prior to screening visit Not on a stable opioid medication equivalent to 20 to 160 mg of morphine per day for at least 2 weeks prior to screening visit.
