Trial Information

Moderate to Severe Chronic Low Back Pain or Osteoarthritis of the Hip or Knee

If you have been diagnosed with moderate to severe chronic low backpain (LBP) osteoarthritis (OA) pain of the hip or knee, you may be interested to learn about a clinical research study that is being conducted for those currently taking hydrocodone (I.e. Vicodin, Loratab, Norco), oxycodone controlled release (CR) (OxyContin), and/or morphine sustained release (SR) (I.e. Avinza, Kadian, MS Contin) for pain relief.

This study is being conducted to evaluate the ability to safely and effectively convert subjects from treatment with hydrocodone, oxycodone controlled release (CR) and/or morphine sustained release (SR) to, a marketed FDA approved drug, for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic Low Back Pain (LBP) or Osteoarthritis (OA) pain of the hip or knee.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:
You may be eligible to participate if you

  • Are 18 to less than 75 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with LBP of non-malignant orgin or diagnosed with OA pain of the hip or knee for at least 3 months
  • Are currently taking an opiod medication like hydrocodone, oxycodone CR or morphine SR for LBP or OA pain of the hip or knee

*Additional criteria will be reviewed at the screening visit to determine if your condition meets all requirements for the study.

Qualified study volunteers will be provided research related medical care and study drug at no cost.
