Research Study Summary

Shingles Rash Healed But Still in Pain?
Postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN) or After-Shingles Pain Clinical Research Study

Purpose

John E. Ervin, M.D. and The Center for Pharmaceutical Research are conducting a clinical research study on an investigational oral medication for PHN.

Participants will receive study medication or placebo, study exams, and study-related medical care at no cost.

Compensation is available for time and travel, up to $45 per study visit.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • You are 18 to 85 years of age and
  • You have been experiencing pain for at least 3 months after your shingles have healed.
