Adolescent Vaccine Study

We are currently seeking volunteers for a medical research study for boys and girls ages 10 to 12. Each participant will receive the required Tdap booster vaccine as well as the recommended, licensed meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MC4). The purpose of this study is to learn what the effects are of an investigational (test) meningitis vaccine when taking it with another vaccine at the same time. The study requires up to 6 office visits spread out over about 7 months. There are a total of 4 blood draws and 4 vaccinations for each subject.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Participants must be 10-12 years old and have completed the DTaP series of vaccinations.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients cannot have had an anaphylactic reaction to a vaccine. In addition, patients cannot be currently taking antibiotics.
